  1. Mix cream cheese, curry powder, brown sugar, lemon juice and parsley in food processor. Stir in bacon, spring onion, gherkin, sundried tomato and grated tasty cheese.

  2. Mix together the topping ingredients.

  3. Divide cream cheese mixture into half and spoon onto baking paper. Mould into balls and roll in the topping to coat.

  4. Wrap in plastic wrap before freezing. Thaw overnight in fridge before serving.

Note

Serve with fresh vegetable sticks and crackers.

To dress up the cheese ball, add roasted pecans, almonds, pistachios or dried onion and bacon pieces to the topping, if desired.

    Really different flavour combination. Delish!
I made this ahead, froze and vacuum packed it. Then thawed in the fridge and rolled in fresh parsley just before serving.

How far in advanced could you make this cheese ball?

    • El Gusto

I would make a couple of days ahead and keep in the fridge. There is also a freezer tag on the recipe.

    Love this recipe !!
I didn’t put bacon or sun dried tomatoes.

I added 1 Tbsp ketchup, and chopped up craisins. Instead of gherkins I used sweet relish. Super good!
