Burger sauce

Hands Free Mode

Instructions

  1. If making your own burger sauce, mix all ingredients together and set aside.

  2. Preheat barbecue to high.

  3. Gently mix your choice of seasonings into the mince, then shape into 10 even-sized balls. When ready to cook, place 3-4 balls onto the barbecue plate, top each with a wrap, and using a smasher or your hand, press down to flatten the wrap onto the mince, spreading the mince out to nearly the size of the wrap. Cook 2 minutes, then flip carefully – the mince should stay, cooked onto the wrap. Top with a slice of cheese and cook 1-2 minutes further then remove and keep warm. Keep cooking until all mince and wraps are used.

  4. Serve the smash burger tacos with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and burger sauce.

Note

*Salt and pepper would be sufficient, however if a more seasoned mince is preferred, add your choice of beef mince seasoning, taking into account it may already have salt and pepper added.

Not suitable for freezing.

These are so good and easy to make. I found it a bit easier to make if I smooshed the meat out on the tortilla to make a thin even layer then fried it meat side down. The meat was more evenly distributed. So good, and definitely will be making again!

Delicious – especially the burger sauce – a keeper! I use large flatbreads but smaller ones will work better!

Delicious! The burger sauce is a must.

Quick and easy, you could freeze the hamburger/beef mince once made into rounds and use for a later date; thaw in the fridge the night before. Tasty, the sauce definitely makes it!
